US considers selling 4 MQ-1C Grey Eagle MALE UAVs to Ukraine

Thirty Chinese aircraft entered Taiwan defense zone

According to information published by the Ministry of Defense of Taiwan on May 30, 2022, thirty People's Liberation Army Air Force (Chinese Air Force) aircraft (Shaanxi KJ-500, Shaanxi Y-8, Shenyang J-16, Shenyang J-11, Chengdu J-10, Sukhoi Su-35, and Sukhoi Su-30) entered Taiwan’s southwest ADIZ.

Sukhoi and MiG merge with United Aircraft Corporation

MOSCOW, June 2. /TASS-DEFENSE/. The Sukhoi and MiG companies have merged with the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), the UAC press office said: “Relevant records were made on June 1 in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities,” the press office said. The UAC Board of Directors approved the merger in November 2021 and shareholders of three companies supported it in January 2022, the press office added.

Indian Air Force and Navy fighter jets to be armed with Astra Mk-I air-to-air missiles

According to Air Force Technology, the Indian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has signed a contract with Bharat Dynamics (BDL) to procure Astra MK-I beyond visual range (BVR) air-to-air missile (AAM). The Astra MK-I missile will be used by the Indian Air Force (IAF) and Navy. The contract falls under the Buy Indian Designed, Developed and Manufactured (Indian-IDDM) category.

Royal Thai Army to procure 9 more UH-60A Black Hawk helicopters

As reported by Defense Studies, the Department of Transportation of the Royal Thai Army on its website on May 27, 2022, announced it would purchase 9 Sikorsky UH-60A Black Hawk (Refurbished) helicopters under the general-purpose helicopter procurement project, Phase 2, along with other necessary components, and 2 aircraft hangars. This should be purchased in part for the Army Aviation Center which wants to replace retired aircraft.
