Rostec delivers new batch of Su-35S fighters to Russian Aerospace Forces

Rostec on June 23 announced that a new batch of new Su-35S aircraft was handed over to the Russian Ministry of Defense by the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant. Yu.A. Gagarin of the United Aircraft Corporation (part of Rostec State Corporation). Combat vehicles made a flight to the home airfield.

New Nexter KNDS THL30 turret to equip upgraded Tiger attack helicopter

Nexter is upgrading its THL30 turret to equip the modernized Tiger attack and ground support helicopter. The turret's lateral displacement has been increased and its weight reduced thanks to modernized electronics. It will enter service in 2028.

Sweden to train Ukrainian pilots on JAS 39 Gripen fighter and donate more military equipment

The Swedish Government on June 22 announced it has adopted a new support package for Ukraine, which was presented at the meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group in Brussels on 15 June 2023. The package includes contributions to funds totalling SEK 230 million and instructions to the Swedish Armed Forces concerning Saab JAS 39 Gripen fighter aircraft and supply solutions for donated military equipment. The total value of this twelfth support package amounts to approximately SEK 250 million.

French Safran's Patroller tactical drone selected to upgrade Greek Army's UAV inventory

On June 20, 2023, Safran Electronics & Defense announced that the Greek Army has chosen its Patroller tactical drones to upgrade its unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) inventory. Facilitated by the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA), the procurement process resulted in the addition of four new Patroller drones. Previously, Greece had acquired a total of 16 Sperwer UAVs, and this addition represents a significant enhancement to the country's UAV capabilities.

This contract provides for the production of AMRAAM missiles, AMRAAM Telemetry System, initial and field spares, and other production engineering support activities. Work will be performed in Tucson, Arizona, and is expected to be completed by January 31, 2027.

Elbit Systems to supply first three Watchkeeper X tactical UAS to Romanian Defense

Elbit Systems announced on June 21, further to its announcement of December 21, 2022, that it received a first purchase order worth approximately $180 million to supply the first three out of a maximum of seven Watchkeeper X tactical Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) as part of a framework contract with the Romanian Ministry of National Defense, with a maximum value of approximately $410 million (1.89 billion Lei). The purchase order will be performed over a period of two years.
