This gimbal integrates a range of state-of-the-art small high-performance sensors, including high-definition electro-optical, high-definition mid-wave infrared, short-wave infrared, laser range finder, and laser target designator. By incorporating these cutting-edge sensors, the gimbal ensures comprehensive situational awareness and precise target acquisition.

The gimbal system is characterized by its stability, adherence to the Modular Open Systems Architecture (MOSA), compact size of less than 8 in. in diameter, and a weight of under 12 pounds. The lightweight and streamlined design of the STAG-8 gimbal leads to significant reductions in weight and volume, thereby enhancing the overall performance capabilities of the system.

This new gimbal is designed to deliver improved intelligence surveillance reconnaissance and targeting mission performance. It offers advanced capabilities for electro-optical and infrared payloads and is specifically tailored for unmanned aerial systems of various sizes as well as fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters.
