Havelsan redesigned the BAHA UAV

Stating that BAHA is a component of HAVELSAN's important project, Özçelik said, "When BAHA first emerged, it was a platform used to test our domestic and national autopilot software and swarm algorithms. We developed our algorithms on this platform. Performing the tests of the developments in the regions where our armed forces are located. "We wanted to do this and went to many areas. Our aim in doing this was primarily to define and see the needs of our armed forces in the region and to test it on the spot. However, we have also developed and improved this test platform itself." he said.

Expressing that they have completed these studies on BAHA, Özçelik said, "We have updated BAHA. We are currently carrying out our flight tests with a platform with completely different features as a new design. We will be on the field to test this platform very soon. BAHA is only designed for our armed forces. "It is not a product, but also one of our products that we want to export to our friendly and allied countries. In this context, we promote our product to many countries at different events and conduct test and demo activities related to it. In this context, we are making great efforts to sign an agreement." used the phrase.

Emphasizing that the new BAHA has many features, Özçelik continued as follows:

"One of the most important of these is that it will now be able to fly in weather conditions that are not suitable for flight. In this context, it will be able to fly under certain rain and precipitation conditions, especially in cold weather conditions, with its impermeability feature. However, its cameras as an imaging system are much more advanced, much more distant. There will be electro-optical systems capable of detecting and diagnosing from a distance. There will also be solutions that will enable it to fly stably in a signal jamming environment. We have carried out many test activities in the field to develop them. The production of the new prototype is finished, we have now started our user demo activities in flight tests. We are testing our newly developed aircraft in this context, I hope we will support our armed forces with much better results. The production of the new prototype is finished, flight tests are currently underway. We anticipate it to be put into use with the digital unity project in the coming period. HR Project is a project consisting of unmanned aerial vehicles, unmanned land vehicles and unmanned sea vehicles. Together with the command and control system developed by HAVELSAN behind it, as a fully integrated system, it actually constitutes the infrastructure of the future combat system. In this context, HAVELSAN has serious product studies."

Pointing out that BAHA has a domestic rate of 90 percent, Özçelik said, "It is designed by us, its body is produced entirely by our domestic companies. We mostly buy the components we use in its content from our domestic companies." he said.

Stating that the tests and performance tests continue intensively on BAHA's new platforms that can carry different types and weights of payload, Özçelik added that they continue to work to sign new agreements both at home and abroad.
