The International Paris Air Show will be staging its 51st edition. This
event, over a hundred years old, is the largest and longest-running aerospace
trade show in the world. Since its launch, the Show has been at the very
heart of developments in the global aerospace market, for which it has
become the most important meeting place over the years. Open to professionals
and the general public alike, it inspires a large number of vocations. The International Paris Air Show is organised by Salon International de l'Aeronautique et de l'Espace (SIAE), a subsidiary of Groupement des Industries Françaises Aéronautiques et Spatiales (GIFAS). The 51th Paris Air Show will take place at Le Bourget exhibition centre from 15 to 21 June 2015, and will once again bring together all the industry's players across the globe to showcase the latest technological innovations. The first 4 days of the Show, exclusively for trade visitors, are followed by 3 days for the general public. This event, which began more than a century ago, is the world's oldest and largest aviation show. During
the last edition of Paris Air Show, some 150 aeroplanes, helicopters and
drones were presented in flight and on the ground, including the A380
and A400M Airbuses, the Dassault Rafale and Neuron, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner,
the Kamov 52 helicopter, and a ballet performed by the Tigres. The Patrouille
de France, celebrating its 60th anniversary, gave a series of acrobatic
displays throughout the Show, colouring the skies above Le Bourget with
red, white and blue. And as the icing on the cake, we were able to admire
the Airbus A350, which did a flyby in front of the French President only
a few days after its maiden flight. Each time the show is held, more than 150 aircraft are presented to visitors. A number of these are involved in the flying displays held each afternoon. These displays, which are always spectacular and often amazing, are one of the show's high points, giving exhibitors the opportunity to showcase their technological expertise and allowing visitors to discover the latest innovations. |

daily maritime and air display offers companies with a perfect product
demonstration platform for all aspects of commercial, civil and defence
applications. Participating exhibitors may accompany their product displays
with commentary broadcasted over the exhibition. The On-Water displays,
at Star Cruises Terminal (Porto Mailai) will feature 29 different military
and security ships from a dozen different countries. The Air Displays,
at Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre, will highlight 61 different

UMEX
2015 live flying demonstration will take place at Al Tareef, a purpose
built airstrip one hour from ADNEC. The live demonstration gives companies
the opportunity to demonstrate the take-off and recovery procedure as
well as displaying sensor imagery on screens to a senior military and
trade audience. Demonstrations will take place on Tuesday 24th and Wednesday
25th February 2015, from 10 to 15h. Companies which will participe include:
ADASI (S-100 Scheibel Cam-Copter), Insitu/Boeing (Integrator), Denel (Seeker),
AAI/Textron (Aerosonde), Shenzen AEE (F50), General Atomics (Predator
(AFAD Version)), Polish Air Force (TBD).

Unmanned
Systems Conference |

UMEX
is proud to showcase unmanned systems, the next generation of defence
technology in the region. In 2015 and for the first time, UMEX will run
an Unmanned
Systems conference that explores the evolution of this technology.
Unmanned systems are not only vital to the three main services but also
increasingly used by police and coastguards as well expanding civilian
functions. As the regional leader in the production and use of unmanned
systems, the UAE is the perfect place to explore new uses for unmanned
systems and what the industry and the military need to do to make this
happen. The Unmanned Systems Conference is part of the IDEX Defence Conferences. The conferences unite Defence Ministers, Chiefs of Staff, senior commanders from the UAE Armed Forces, government officials, senior decision makers and other commanding officers from international militaries. Attendance crosses the armed
services sectors, including army, navy, coast guard, marine, airforce
and police force as well as senior executives from the defence industry
and military experts. |
