Indian Air Force is the air arm of the Indian armed
forces. Structure: Air HQs (New Belhi) controls
five operational and two functional commands: Western
AirCommand (HQ Palam, New Delhi), South-Western
Air Command (HQ Gandhinagar), Eastern Air Command
(HQ Shillong), Central Air Command (HQAllahabad).
Souther Air Command (HQ Trivandrum). Training Command,
MaintenanceCommand. The Far Eastern Command (also
referred to as Andaman & Nicobar Command) in
Port Blair is a unified inter-service command.
