Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) renewed a $2.3 billion H-60 Seahawk Performance Based Logistics (PBL) contract with Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission System (LMRMS) located in Owego, N.Y., Feb. 1.   

Kaman Air Vehicles, a division of Kaman Corporation, announced on February 14 that it has entered into a strategic distribution agreement with Trust International Group (“Trust International”) for the K-MAX medium-to-heavy lift helicopter. This reseller agreement provides Trust International with exclusive rights to market the K-MAX aircraft and its spare parts in the United Arab Emirates (“UAE”). Trust International is a major supplier of premium solutions to the UAE Armed Forces and security establishment.

A joint mission of the United States, Estonia and Lithuania will execute an observation flight over the territory of the Union State of Russia and Belarus between February 17 and 21, while Russian specialists will reciprocate by flying over Greece, Russia’s Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper reports on Monday, citing chief of the Russian National Centre for Nuclear Risk Reduction Sergei Ryzhkov.

The governments of France and Germany have awarded Dassault Aviation, Airbus, together with their partners Safran, MTU Aero Engines, MBDA and Thales, the initial framework contract (Phase 1A), which launches the demonstrator phase for the Future Combat Air System (FCAS).

Auterion Government Solutions Inc and Quantum-Systems GmbH announced that they have partnered to bring the Vector and Scorpion small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS) to the U.S. Government Defense and Security markets. The partnership brings together best-in-class sUAS hardware with a secure, scalable, open source, operating system, Auterion OS. Auterion OS is currently employed on an ecosystem of sUAS from small multi-rotors to hybrid VTOL Group 2 air vehicles.

Elbit Systems announced today that it was selected by the Federal Office for Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology, and In-Service Support to support the preliminary design of Airborne Electronic Warfare (EW) self-protection systems for the CH‑53 GS/GE transport helicopters, as part of the platform upgrade program led by Airbus Helicopters.

The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to India of an Integrated Air Defense Weapon System (IADWS) for an estimated cost of $1.867 billion.  The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale on February 7, 2020.

Russia offered to India an additional batch of MiG-29 fighter jets, CEO of Russia’s state arms trader Rosoboronexport Alexander Mikheev told TASS at the DefExpo international arms show.

The Boeing Australia team recently completed major fuselage structural assembly for the first Loyal Wingman. The aircraft is one of three prototypes that will be developed as a part of the Loyal Wingman – Advanced Development Program in partnership with the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF).
