Elbit Systems to showcase advanced new concepts and solutions at Paris Air Show 2013.
 
Elbit Systems will be featuring a wide spectrum of innovative next-generation systems at the upcoming 50th Paris Air Show, set to take place in Le Bourget from June 17 - 23, 2013. Visitors to the Company’s booth (Chalet A198) will have an excellent opportunity to view new products and displays of the Company’s core technologies and cutting-edge solutions.
     

Targo™ Helmet Mounted Avionics (HMA) enables pilots to plan, rehearse, fly and debrief using their personal helmets.

     

Military Avionics and Aircraft Upgrades:

Elbit Systems, with its comprehensive airborne systems capabilities, can provide a single sensor or an entire cockpit avionic suite. The following will be displayed in the Company’s booth:

Elbit Systems CockpitNGTM is based on a smart central large area display (LAD) which includes all avionic components in one suite, fully integrated with the Helmet Mounted and Head-Up Displays. All of the systems' components were developed in a "Multi-touch-Screen" technology, allowing pilots to operate the aircraft in the most smooth and customizable manner.

Targo™ Helmet Mounted Avionics (HMA) enables pilots to plan, rehearse, fly and debrief using their personal helmets. It is available in stand-alone or fully integrated configurations. Targo™ is an excellent solution for fighter aircraft, air lifters, trainers, emergency services aircraft and helicopters.

C-Suite Tactical solution for C-130 aircraft is a flexible, modular solution created to effectively perform under the harsh and demanding conditions created by low altitude tactical environments. Providing accurate, real-time information projected on the Head-Up, Head-Down or Helmet Mounted displays, the C-Suite Tactical enables a safer and more precise mission as well as increased situational awareness. The suite's applications are a seamless integration of complex sensors and systems suited specially to C-130 flight deck avionics.

Aerostructures for Commercial Aircraft:

Elbit Systems – Cyclone’s Winglet is a complete integral composite winglet that is produced in only three steps: Upper and lower "one shot" skins with integrated frame and simple assembly of both skins despite the complicated contour assembly. Related advantages of this structure are less production stations, reduced lead time and reduced dependency on subcontractors. Cyclone’s Winglet provides an affordable and weight saving solution.

Aileron is an innovative “one-shot” composite control surface manufactured by Cylone using RTM (“Resin Transfer Molding”) technology, using low cost aerospace grade fabrics which are pre-formed on metallic mandrels. The control surface embodies innovative composite fittings that are embedded between the main frame layers, adhered and mechanically locked to the main frame beams with no fasteners.

Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS):

Elbit Systems is a leading provider of high performance turnkey UAS solutions, including advanced air vehicles, ground control stations and intelligence management centers. The Company's UAS have earned international recognition in the global war on terrorism and are the backbone of the Israel Defense Force’s (IDF) UAS fleet and those of other world leading armed forces.

Elbit System’s Hermes® 900 UAS is equipped with a variety of high performance sensors, allowing it to detect ground or maritime targets, over a wide spectral range. Providing over the horizon, persistent multi-payload capabilities, Hermes® 900 is based on the proven and mature building blocks of Elbit System’s Hermes® family, setting the highest levels of airworthiness, safety and reliability. This Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) UAS has been procured by the IDF and by multiple international users.
In the outdoor display area (#A21), the Hermes® 900 Medium MALE UAS will be showcased, equipped with a wide range of highly advanced payloads for a variety of missions.

     

AMPS (Advanced Multi-sensor Payload System) is a dynamic target, detection and recognition system for extremely long ranges far exceeding those of other systems in its class.
     
Electro-Optic Systems:

Elbit Systems Electro-Optics Elop Ltd. (Elop), a globally recognized multidisciplinary electro-optics systems house, incorporates the full range of related technologies and facilities in the areas of Observation and Surveillance Payloads, Space and Airborne IMINT, Lasers, Thermal Imaging, Electro-Optic Countermeasures, Head-Up Displays, Integrated Sights for Ground Forces and Homeland Security.

C-MUSIC™, a unique multi-spectral Infrared Fiber-laser based DIRCM system will be showcased in an impressive 2.7m long pod hung from the booth's ceiling, demonstrating its outstanding aerodynamic structure. The pod will be outfitted with see-through windows to enable visitors to examine the advanced Fiber Laser based DIRCM mirror turret, as well as the PAWS (IR Passive Approach Warning System) sensors.

is designed to protect large airc J-MUSICTMraft, transporters, tankers, special mission platforms and VIP jets - against MANPADS. Lightweight, compact and easily installed, J-MUSIC™ is a distributed system, meaning that the LRUs can be installed in various locations onboard the aircraft, enabling an optimized installation solution for protection of the aircraft. It has been selected for several programs such as Embraer's KC-390 aircraft for the Brazilian Air Force.

Advanced Multi-sensor Payload System (AMPS) is a dynamic target detection and recognition payload for strategic ISR and ISTAR at standoff ranges. A highly stabilized EO payload, AMPS delivers excellent day and night ISTAR capabilities, facilitated by autonomous navigation with inertial system and GPS.

Digital Compact Multi Purpose Advanced Stabilized System (DCoMPASS®) is a highly stabilized electro-optical payload system, delivering superb day and night ISTAR capabilities in the harshest weather conditions. The multi-sensor system is designed for long-range surveillance and targeting functions for UAS, helicopters, fixed-wing, maritime and ground platforms.

Elisra EW and SIGINT:

Elbit Systems EW and SIGINT - Elisra is a world leader des in the field of Electronic and Information Warfare as well as Intelligence and C3 systems for over four decades, and the source of solutions deployed in modern defense forces of numerous countries worldwide.

The following payloads and sensors will be on display with the Hermes® 900 UAS in the outdoor display area (#A21):

Debuted at the show: SPS65-V5 Self Protection Electronic Warfare (EW) System for UAS. The UAS Self Protection system is based on the modular SPS65-V5, allowing for the addition/removal of capabilities based on the operational requirements set by the user and mission restrictions. The system is adjusted to UAS use in terms of Size, Weight and Power (SWaP) and it can be installed onboard a variety of UAS platforms, ranging from tactical to High Altitude Long Endurance (HALE).

Immune Satellite Navigation System - iSNS/V1 is a highly effective and agile GPS ECM system that provides effective jamming immunity for multiple satellite channels over extended ranges. The iSNS/V1 handles multiple jammers operating on concurrent frequencies.

SIGINT Payloads for UAS designed to meet the full range of UAS tactical and strategic mission requirements:

EMERALD (AES-210) - A fully-featured ESM/ELINT system installable on a variety of platforms of modern forces, EMERALD ensures mission-readiness in the most challenging scenarios, including: surveillance, information-gathering, geolocation, enemy radars targeting and platform self-protection.

SkyFix – A compact, fully featured, lightweight, high-precision and modular airborne COMINT/DF system, SkyFix is designed to meet the full range of UAS tactical and strategic mission requirements.

SKYJAM – An airborne COMJAM system, SKYJAM is modular, flexible, and configured to handle emerging threats. The system can manage multiple frequency sub-bands prepared with predefined threat lists and jamming priorities.
