2 killed in Alenia Aermacchi M-346 jet trainer crash in UAE while Poland signs the contract with AA.
 

The General Command of the UAE Armed Forces today announced that two of its air crew died when their military training aircraft crashed. In the mean time, Poland signed a contract for eight Alenia Aermacchi M-346 Master jet trainer aircraft on 27 February for the country's Advanced Jet Trainer (AJT) programme.

An investigation has begun into the crash, said the statement carried by WAM state news agency, without specifying where in the desert Gulf state the aircraft came down or the type of aircraft involved.

Another pilot was killed in a similar incident on June 16.

In the mean, Poland signed a contract for eight Alenia Aermacchi M-346 Master jet trainer aircraft on 27 February for the country's Advanced Jet Trainer (AJT) programme. Worth PZL1.168 billion (USD377 million), the contract goes beyond simply delivery of the aircraft, including a complete integrated-training package for the Polish Air Force's 41st Air Training Base at Deblin.

Deliveries of the aircraft are expected to begin in 2016 and complete in 2017.
