The newest combat helicopters Ka-52 Alligator will be supplied to the air base of the formation of Air Force and Air Defense Forces of the Southern Military District located in Krasnodar Territory until the end of 2012.

The first group of pilots of the formation went to the aviation training center (Torzhok, Tver Region) to master the new helicopter. Last year, the air base already received more than ten helicopters Mi-28N Night Hunter and modernized helicopters Mi-8AMTSH. Their supply is expected this year too.

In 2012, combatant ranks of the army aviation of the Southern Military District will also be reinforced with multipurpose transport helicopters Mi-26T, new strike helicopters Mi-35M, modernized helicopters Mi- 8AMTSH and other kinds of modern hardware.
