Work will be performed in Fort Worth, Texas (99.85 percent); and Lebanon (0.15 percent), with an estimated completion date of March 14, 2017.

The US Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, is the contracting activity, the US DoD said.

The UH-1H is an improved variant of the UH-1D, with the Lycoming T53-L-13 engine of 1,400 shp (1,000 kW) installed, a vibration-reduction system, infrared countermeasures and a night-vision-goggle (NVG) compatible cockpit, among other capabilities.

The Lebanese Air Force currently operates 27 ex-US Army UH-1H utility helicopters, as well as SA342 Gazelle light rotorcraft and SA 330 Puma/IAR 330s.
