“Rostvertol” will deliver to foreign customer in the first quarter of 2015 the first of the ordered batch of Mi-26T2,” a spokesman said.

According to him, the entire batch of Mi-26T2 will be delivered to foreign customer before the end of March 2016.

The helicopter’s modernized version is fitted with a new BREO-26 avionics suite and glass cockpit with five multifunctional LCD displays, new digital autopilot, and NAVSTAR/GLONASS supported navigation system.

The helicopter Mi-26T2 can transport various cargos up to 20 tons and carry 82 paratroops. The latest avionics suite fitted also makes it possible to reduce the number of crew members from 5 to 2 people, plus an operator should the external sling be in use.

The interviewee noted that in 2015 “Rostvertol” will produce at the same time Mi-26 in different versions for the Russian Air Force and foreign customers. In particular, for China we build helicopters of Mi-26TC version. In total in 2015 it will be released about 7-8 Mi-26 in various versions, the spokesman said.
