This year Russia will deliver 14 Yak-130 combat trainer aircraft to Bangladesh and two more jets of the type – in 2016, TASS reports with reference to Irkut Corporation CEO, Oleg Demchenko. Belarus is also to receive four Yak-130s in April, according to BelTA.

EDA, Germany, Sweden and UK sign Helicopter Tactics Instructor Course agreement
 
Yesterday, in a signing ceremony held as part of the EDA Steering Board, Germany, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the European Defence Agency brought into force an agreement to work together to deliver the European Helicopter Tactics Instructor Course (HTIC). This course is designed to give selected European helicopter crews an enhanced awareness of helicopter tactics, operational employment and multi-national integration, said the EDA in an official statement.

The Canadian government has issued a long-awaited call for tenders to replace country's aging fixed-wing search planes, more than a decade after the project was first proposed, related local medias. Canada's Public Works secretariat overseeing the program is asking the defence industry not only for aircraft, but also a capability-based solution, which means would-be contractors can propose details such as where the planes should be based.

President Barack Obama on Tuesday released military aid to Egypt that was suspended after the 2013 overthrow of the government, The Associated Press (AP) reports. The White House said that Obama notified Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi in a phone call Tuesday that the United States would be sending 12 F-16 fighter jets, 20 missiles and up to 125 tank kits, while continuing to request $1.3 billion in military assistance for Egypt.

Raytheon Company was awarded a $528,797,459 contract for Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAM). Raytheon will provide AMRAAM Lot 29 missiles and other AMRAAM system items. This contract involves foreign military sales. Raytheon also received order from the USAF for the Miniature Air Launched Decoy Jammer missile Lot 8, the US-based company announced yesterday March 31.
