"The engine of the S-80FP rocket is smaller than that of the non-S-80 guided missile, its warhead is 50% larger. This makes the rocket 5 to 10 times more efficient (...). This gear is already delivered to the army, " M.Makarovets said. According to the director, S-80FP 80 mm rocket "is one of the best of its kind in the world, it dramatically increases the efficiency of an airplane or helicopter and reduces the number of combat sorties."

Russia introduced the unguided missile S-80FP at Defexpo 2014 show in New Delhi in February. According M.Makarovets, India has shown great interest in the projectile and launched discussions on its purchase by the Indian Army. S-80FP rocket can equip the Su-24 fighters, Su-25, Su-27, MiG-23, MiG-27, MiG-29, the Mi-8, Mi-28, Ka-50, Ka-52 and other aircraft. Weighing 16.2 kg, it has a warhead of 9.2 kg. The Tula Splav group, which will be 70 years old in 2015, is one of Russia's largest producers of multiple rocket launchers. He designed the multiple rocket launcher BM-21 Grad, Hurricane, Smerch and projectiles for the Navy. Splav has customers in Russia and abroad.
