"Russian defense enterprises have developed a prototype of the small hypersonic air-to-surface missile to be fitted in the Su-57 aircraft’s internal weapons bay," the source said.

Another source confirmed the information that the prototype had been developed and added that "the missile has not been tested together with the aircraft yet."

The sources did not disclose the specifications of the advanced munition.

TASS does not have any official confirmation of the information provided by the sources.

The Su-57 is a fifth-generation multirole fighter designed to destroy all types of air targets at long and short distances and hit enemy ground and naval targets, overcoming its air defense capabilities.
