According to information released by the Chinese MoD (Ministry Of Defense) website, China has developed the first two seats stealth fighter aircraft based on the J-20, stealth, twin-engine, and fifth-generation fighter aircraft developed by China in Chengdu Aerospace Corporation. In January 2019, China has announced the development of the two-seat variant of the J-20.

According to contract released by the U.S. DoD (Department of Defense) on August 14, 2020, American company Lockheed Martin Corp., Fort Worth, Texas, has been awarded a $62,000,000,000 ten-year, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ), fixed-price-incentive contract for the new production of F-16 Foreign Military Sale (FMS) aircraft. According to the Bloomberg news agency, this order could include the delivery of F-16 fighter jets to Taiwan and Morocco.

According to a press release published by Textron on August 11, 2020, Textron Aviation announced it was awarded a contract by ATI Engineering Services, LLC for two multi-mission Cessna Grand Caravan EX aircraft for the Rwanda Defense Force (RDF) in support of the African Partnership Flight initiative. This will be the first fixed-wing aircraft to be put in service by the RDF. The aircraft, which are anticipated to enter service during the first half of 2021, will primarily be based in Kigali, Rwanda.

According to a contract released by the U.S. DoD, on August 7, 2020, Airbus DS Military Aircraft Inc., Mobile, Alabama, was awarded a $10,000,000 maximum ceiling firm-fixed-price contract (H92241-20-C-0005) in support of U.S. Army Special Operations Aviation Command for the sustainment and modernization of five CASA 212-200 CC60 aircraft with new avionics suites and aircraft maintenance refreshes.

According to information published by the U.S. Air Force on August 6, 2020, the U.S. Force 53d Test and Evaluation Group planned and executed a $1.4 million Large Force Test Event (LFTE), August 4-6, 2020, designed to find solutions to Air Force prioritized Tactics Improvement Proposals for Suppression of Enemy Air Defense, low-observable ingress, and 4th-5th generation electronic attack interoperability. Principally, this LFTE assessed the tactics and viability of the F-35 to provide enhanced SEAD support to LO platforms, including the B-2 and RQ-170, within an operationally realistic environment.

This is the first time a U.S. Army operation of this scale is conducted in La Rochelle since the 1960's.
