"The trials of the KAB-250 are nearing their completion. We have to confirm some specifications of the weapon. We also hope that these works will be finished at an early date. The new guided bomb unit has already passed its tests with the Sukhoi Su-34 [NATO reporting name: Fullback] frontline bomber. The weapon will be integrated with the armament suite of the Sukhoi Su-35 [Flanker-E+] fighter jet and the internal weapon bay of the Sukhoi Su-57 multirole combat aircraft," said Krylov.

According to him, the development of the new bomb has been finished. "The plants are being prepared for the serial production of the weapon, which is scheduled for 2020," said Krylov. He added that a variant of the KAB-250 with a laser seeker would be the first to enter serial manufacturing.
