Singapore Air Show 2018: What to expect from the aerial and static displays?


Only 10 days left before Singapore Air Show 2018 and it's now time to focus on the spectacular line-up of flying displays that will take the visitors breath away. Each day around noon, six display teams from all around the world will perform swashbuckling manoeuvres and amazing aerial performances.

- RSAF F-15SG & F-16C Solo Displays: On February 7th, the RSAF will unveil the commemorative 50th-anniversary-themed F-15SG aircraft, which will take part in the country air force's air display. The RSAF flies 40 F-15SG and 60 F-16C/D fighter jets. In overall, the RSAF will have almost twice as many as assets on display compared to the Singapore Airshow 2016.

- RoKAF Black Eagles: The ROKAF Black Eagles are coming back to Singapore again with 8 indigenous T-50B trainer jets developed by Korea Aerospace Industries. The team recently participated in Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition of Malaysia in 2017, followed by successful participation in Singapore Airshow 2014 and 2016.

- IAF Jupiter Aerobatic Team: The Jupiter team is flying six KT-1B Wongbee aircraft painted in red and white.

- RTAF JAS-39C Solo Display: Thailand purchased 12 JAS-39C/D Gripen multirole jets in 2008 as part of an effort to replace the RTAF's existing F-5 fleet. One JAS-39C crashed last year at Hat Yai Airport, Thailand, during an airshow for the country’s national Children’s Day.

- RMAF Su-30MKM Solo Display: The Su-30MKM is a two-seater multi role fighter aircraft (MRCA) with the capability of carrying out combat missions at significant distances from their home base in any weather conditions day and night. Powered by AL 31fp twin engines, providing a thrust of 55,000lbs with full after burner, enabling the aircraft to reach a top speed of Mach 2. The RMAF currently flies

- USAF F-16 Solo Display: Is it still necessary to present the US Air Force and its F-16 fighter jet, one of the most popular fighter jet on the planet with 2,000+ planes in active service?

The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) celebrates its 50th Anniversary this year and will be commemorating this special milestone with visitors to the Singapore Airshow 2018. As part of the RSAF50 celebrations, RSAF is offering Singapore Airshow public visitors a chance to fly on the H215 Super Puma helicopter to catch a bird’s eye view of this sunny island. But show will also continue with the static display with an impressive array of military aircraft. Among other, visitors will have the chance to get a close look on Royal Australian Air Force EA-18G Growler, P-8A MPA and E7A Wedgetail AEW&C aircraft ; USAF F-22 Raptor, RQ-4 Global Hawk UAS, F/A-18E, Boeing C-17 Globemaster III, Boeing E-3B Sentry, F-35B Lightning II ; and Airbus Helicopters H130 and H135 light multirole choppers.
