Boeing to Showcase Industry Partnerships and Broad Portfolio of Products at 2013 Dubai Airshow.
 

Boeing’s presence at the 2013 Dubai Airshow will showcase the company’s industry partnerships in the Middle East and highlight a broad lineup of defense and commercial products and services designed to meet the needs of Middle East customers.

“The Middle East region continues to be one of Boeing’s key global markets for both the commercial aviation and defense sectors,” said Jeffrey Johnson, president, Boeing Middle East. “We have a long history in the region, and we continue to strengthen our relationships with our partners and customers to further develop the regional aerospace industry.”

On the defense side, Boeing platforms in service with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Armed Forces that will be on display include a UAE Land Forces AH-64D Apache helicopter and UAE Air Force C-17 Globemaster III airlifter. Also scheduled for static display are the MV-22 Osprey tiltrotor, P-8 Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft and AH-6i reconnaissance and attack helicopter. In addition, an F-15E Strike Eagle flight simulator at the Boeing booth will demonstrate the aircraft’s unparalleled range, speed and persistence. On the commercial side, Boeing’s regional customers will have aircraft on static display including a Qatar Airways 787 Dreamliner from Nov. 17-19 and a flydubai 737-800 with Boeing Sky Interior and business class configuration. A 787 flight simulator at the Boeing booth will offer visitors at first-hand look and experience of the aircraft’s capabilities.

Boeing is co-sponsoring the Middle East Air Chiefs Conference, which will take place on Saturday, Nov. 16. The company also will hold a series of media briefings and activities during the show, as listed below.

The experienced pilot hails from Far North Queensland and travelled to the US with his wife and family dog.

“It’s a great spot with plenty of outdoor things to do,” he said.

“But I’ll have to ‘transition’ from surfing to snow skiing to fit in with the very welcoming people here in the northwest.”

V-22 Osprey, P-8 Poseidon, AH-64 Apache, F/A-18 E/F Super Hornet and CH-47 Chinook among defense platforms on display.
