According to Interfax-Ukraine, the Ukroboronprom state concern has signed agreements on supply of tactical radio communications systems and single-engine helicopters to Ukraine with French companies. The Ukrainian company signed contract for the supply of H125 helicopters and tactical radio communications systems, Interfax told yesterday, April 23.

Ukroboronprom signed a protocol on supplies of an undisclosed number of H125 single-engine helicopters with Airbus Helicopters. The H125, formerly known as AS350 B3e, can easily be reconfigured for various aerial work missions with a wide range of certified optional equipment incliding second battery kits, sand prevention filters, sliding doors, tail rotor arches, etc. The aircraft is up to the most rigorous high and hot missions, with an cargo-swing load capacity of 1,400 kg/3,086 lb. The H125 is also well adapted for multi-role law enforcement missions including surveillance, command and control, search and rescue, SWAT unit transportation, and border patrol in high & hot conditions.

The press service of Ukroboronprom also reported that specialists of Ukrinmash state enterprise signed a contract on supply of tactical radio communications systems for the needs of Ukrainian Armed Forces with France's Thales Communications & Security.

"A memorandum of understanding on the joint project on the creation of a modern patrol aircraft was signed with Thales (...)," reads the report.

Ukroboronprom said that strategic agreements in the area of military and technical cooperation between the two countries were reached as a part of a working visit of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to France.
