Elbit systems' MUSIC family of Directed Infrared Countermeasure (DIRCM) systems, integrated with the advanced Passive Airborne Warning System (PAWS) IR based missile warning system, was successfully demonstrated on an Airbus C295 aircraft.

Samara-based Aviakor aircraft plant has handed over to the Russian Defense Ministry officials the first upgraded strategic missile carrier Tu-95MS (NATO reporting name Bear-H). "This is the first upgraded Tu-95MS that has arrived in Samara under a program to re-equip the strategic missile carriers in August 2015. The aircraft is called Dubna," the press service said.

An F-35A Lightning II entered the Benefield Anechoic Facility for the first time Sept. 14. The aircraft is undergoing Electromagnetic Environmental Effects testing, called E3 or "Triple E" by the team. "What that means is we're testing the different electronic components on the jet and making sure they don't interfere with each other," said Jeff Farren, Joint Strike Fighter lead E3 test engineer. "When you're up there flying you don't want your radar to cut off your communications systems."
