Russia’s Aviastar-SP aircraft maker, part of the United Aircraft-Manufacturing Corporation, has officially delivered the first upgraded Ilyushin Il-76MD-90A (NATO reporting name: Candid) plane to the Russian Aerospace Force’s military and transport aviation pool, Aviastar-SP CEO Sergei Dementyev said on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015.

The US-based defense giant Lockheed Martin will update Singapore’s F-16 fleet under a $914 million sole-source contract as part of the U.S. Air Force‘s foreign military sales program, the US Department of Defense announced yesterday. Lockheed Martin company will perform work in Texas through June 30, 2023, said the US DoD.

On October 1, 2015, BAE Systems announced that after a competitive review, it has been selected by prime contractor Boeing to provide the EW system for the U.S. Air Force’s Eagle Passive Active Warning Survivability System (EPAWSS) program. This selection to provide the mission critical EW upgrade for more than 400 F-15 fighter aircraft is expected to be worth in excess of $1 billion to BAE Systems over the next 10 years with the initial award value of $67 million.
