According to local media, South Korea is seeking to buy two more early warning planes to step up its aerial surveillance capabilities over its expanded air defense identification zone, the Air Force said Wednesday. The South Korean Air Force has operated four Boeing 737-based Peace Eye airborne early warning and control aircraft since 2011.

The British Royal Air Force’s (RAF) Typhoon fighter aircraft are now in operational service following the largest ever fighter upgrade programme delivered by BAE Systems. Known as Phase 1 Enhancements (P1E), the upgrade package delivers a range of enhancements to the Typhoon aircraft. Developed by BAE Systems working together with its Eurofighter Partner companies, the RAF and UK Ministry of Defence, (MOD), the capabilities introduced have been developed on the back of operations in Libya.

The T-129 ATAK, the first attack and tactical reconnaissance helicopter produced by Turkey were delivered to the Turkish Land Forces (KKK) after training of the flight personnel. An introductory meeting was held on Thursday at Army Aviation Command in Ankara's Güvercinlik town on the newly-delivered helicopters. Officials explained press members on features on the helicopters and preparations of the fight personnel.
