Iran’s military officials had already announced that the new generation of Saeqeh is a twin-seat fighter jet, which has more power, mobility, navigation equipment, fire power, pay load and operational range compared with its single-seat version. The new aircraft is ready to be unveiled,” Managing Director of the Iranian Aviation Industries Organization Manouchehr Manteqi was quoted as saying.

The country’s experts have managed to design a concept fighter jet, dubbed Borhan, or B-92. A concept prototype of the Borhan fighter jet has been produced,” he said noting that the project will be developed if domestic and foreign investors are attracted.

Some changes have been made in the design of the aircraft to boost its capabilities, compared to Shafaq fighter, including its vertical tail as well as the airfoil of its wings. The aircraft's size and layout puts it in the same class as the Russian Yakovlev Yak-130 or the Aeromacchi M-346 trainer/light attack aircraft.

According to Tasnim, Iran will also unveil a new model of Saeqeh (Thunderbolt) fighter jet soon.
