People's Liberation Chinese Army Air Force (PLAAF)
is the air branch of the People's Liberation Army,
the military of the People's Republic of China.
In 2010, the PLAAF had approximately 330,000 personnel
and 2,500+ aircraft, of which 1,617 were combat
aircraft.The PLAAF is the largest air force in Asia,
and the third largest in the world behind the United
States Air Force and the Russian Air Force. This
did not include PLA Naval Aviation which had 26,000
personnel and 570 aircraft (290 combat aircraft). |

forces. Structure: Air HQs (New Belhi) controls
five operational and two functional commands: Western

(HQ Shillong), Central Air Command (HQAllahabad).
Souther Air Command (HQ Trivandrum). Training Command,
MaintenanceCommand. The Far Eastern Command (also

Port Blair is a unified inter-service command.

in 1968 as the Singapore Air Defence Command (SADC).
In 1975, it was renamed as the Republic of Singapore
Air Force.

Air Combat Command, Participation Command, Air Power
Generation Command and UAV Command.

It is the successor of the former North Vietnamese.
