Russian Aerospace Force units will receive 27  Pantsyr-S  (NATO reporting name: SA-22 Greyhound) antiaircraft missile/gun systems by the yearend, the Defense Ministry’s press office said.

"Besides, the first S-350 air defense missile system is planned to be delivered to the air defense missile force training center of the Aerospace Defense Military Academy," the press office said.

The Pantsyr-S is designed to eliminate all attack and reconnaissance aerial targets, including perspective ones, and is superior to all foreign-made analogs of the same type. The system can destroy cruise missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles, aircraft and ground targets at a range of up to 20 kilometers (12.4 miles) and at an altitude of 15 kilometers (9.3 miles).
