After a period of familiarisation and operational trials, both aircraft have now been declared as Released To Service (RTS) by the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence.

Two Chinese air force pilots died in the crash of their Su-27 fighter jet, the People's Liberation Army said on its website. The jet crashed Sunday afternoon near the city of Rong Cheng in east China's Shandong province when the pilots were on a training mission. There was no collateral damage on the ground, the air force said.
