Participants in the meeting will talk streamlining of Collective Rapid Response Forces and Collective Rapid Deployment Forces in Central Asian collective security region, Russian Defense Ministry said.

Participants in the meeting will consider creation of CSTO collective air force. A plan of joint events in operational and combat training for 2015 is expected to be approved,” the defense agency noted.

Tajikistan’s CSTO presidency in 2015 will be given close attention. A CSTO session at which Tajikistan will take over regional organization’s presidency from Russia will be held in Moscow on December 23.

The CSTO is a regional security group comprising six countries — Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Armenia.
