Russian military to get first Altius combat UAS in Autumn.

The Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD) will commence receiving the newest Altius combat unmanned aerial system (UAS) in autumn, Deputy Defense Minister Alexey Krivoruchko told Russian media.

“We will receive the Altius in combat configuration this Autumn,” said Krivoruchko. The Russian military now receives the Forpost and Inokhodets/Orion unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAVs), he added.

The Russian MoD signed contracts for Forpost-R and Inokhodets-RU/Sirius UCAVs and guided air-launched munitions for UCAVs at the Army 2021 defense show held in Kubinka near Moscow between August 22-28.

Krivoruchko previously said the military would receive the Inokhodets-RU UCAV in 2023.
