British team Red Arrows set for Middle East air shows and especially UAE Dubai Air Show.
 

The British Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows, promises to thrill crowds at the Dubai Air show later this month with loops, rolls and precision formations.The team began a Middle East tour on Monday and will also perform in Al Ain and Abu Dhabi and in Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Jordan.

“It is a huge honour and privilege to have been invited to the Middle East and have the opportunity to perform our display in so many wonderful locations,” squadron leader Jim Turner said in a statement.

“We take great pride and pleasure in being able to demonstrate our flying in all of these places ...The Red Arrows showcase the speed, agility and precision of the Royal Air Force.”

The performance of the distinctive red jets will include a combination of synchronised formation aerobatics.

The Red Arrows have been performing since the 1960s.

The team will perform daily at the Dubai Air Show between November 17 and 21. The displays at the Al Ain Air Show will be between November 30 and December 2.

Drawn from frontline squadrons, nine pilots fly the BAE Systems Hawk aircraft. They are supported by a 100-strong staff including operations and flight planners, engineering technicians and safety equipment experts.

Next year is the 50th season for the team that has performed more than 4,500 displays in 54 countries.
